ut">One of the objectives of the Centre is to offer periodic intensive intellectual-cum-experiential Workshops on ‘Human Values and Indian Ethos’ to senior and middle level executives of commercial organizations, educational institutions, various professional bodies and individuals in different walks of life.

S.K. Chakraborty
Mentor Emeritus
Prof. Chakraborty had been a first ranker in his under-and post-graduate studies at Calcutta University and also at the Institute of Cost and Works Accountants of India. As a Commonwealth Scholar, he had earned his Ph.D in Management and Social Sciences from Liverpool University (UK) in 1970.
He had started post-graduate teaching at Calcutta University in 1962, and retired from IIM Calcutta in 2003. He had founded the Management Centre for Human Values at IIMC in 1995. In between he had taught at other Universities in India and abroad, e.g. Calcutta, Burdwan, Liverpool, Stockhom, Darmstadt, California Institute of Integral Studies , Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology etc. He has participated on invitation, in numerous conferences in India and abroad. He was still recently a Member of the Board of Governors of IIM-Indore, and also Chairman (Hony.). Advisory Council of the Society for Integration of Spirituality and Organisations of Leadership (ISOL). Earlier, he had been a Member of the Board of four public sector companies and of three GOI committees also.
He has been the founder-editor of three journals: Decision and Journal of Human Values at IIMC ; at Sri Aurobindo Samiti. He has produced thirty four published books so far —either as sole author/ editor, or as joint author/ editor. A couple of them had won national awards.

Bidyut Kr Sarkar
Vice Principal & Associate Tagore Fellow
Prof. Sarkar is an MBA (HR & Mktg.), MCA, MS (Psychotherapy and Counselling), PGDCA, PGDI(Indology), B.Sc. (Physics Hons.), Cert. holder in Functional Sanskrit. He is a UGC-NET, AIMA-TEM & AIMA-AMT qualified professional. He has 18 years of formal teaching and administrative experience in reputed Management institutions like IIMS, Kolkata, Newport University, USA, MCRPV, Bhopal, NSHM, Durgapur/Kolkata etc. He has delivered and conducted various in-house and external EDP(s),MDP(s) & Workshops across India with top and middle level executives of public and private sector companies like Ambuja-Neotia Group companies, BEL, GRSE, PGCI, MECL, NTPC,SBI,IFFCO etc. He has also delivered courses and SDP(s)/FDP(s) & Workshops at various academic institutions like Presidency University, Bethune College, Shri Shiksayatan College, Army Institute of Management, Calcutta Business School, Women’s Christian College etc. He has coordinated and administered national progammes like NEN, EDII-OLPE, IIM-CAT etc., conducted and participated in various national and international conferences. Prof Sarkar has experience in Industry and has published research papers in reputed national and international journals, books and monographs. He has been retained as a management consultant by national and international companies like SkyBoat-Lomapallo, Finland, MSME Directorate, Govt. of India etc. Prof Sarkar has been a professional member of organizations like AIMA, IMCI, AHRD, ACP, NIPM etc. and has been adjudged eminent national speaker at various International Conferences.

Anupurba Banerjee
Assistant Tagore Fellow
Prof. Mrs. Banerjee hails from Girish Chandra Mookherjee’s family of Calcutta. She was a student of the Comparative Literature Department of Jadavpur University, Kolkata where her Phd. is presently in process. She had taught English in Chemical Engineering department of Jadavpur University, had founded, a primary school situated in Saltlake, had been invited in conferences abroad and in India like in University of New South Wales, Sydney, Chung-Ang University, Seoul, South Korea, University of Paris-Sorbonne, Gujarat Central University. A Life Member of International Comparative Literature Association recently, she is also engaged in delivering lectures on Applied Ethics in Presidency University. She was invited by the Govt. of West Bengal, Education Department to render her suggestions for the development of the School Syllabus. Married to Shri Bhaskar Prosad Banerjee, she is the mother of two daughters.

Sibani Das
Tagore Research Scholar
Sibani Das is an Honours Graduate in Political Science (1991) and Masters in International Relations (1993) from Jadavpur University,Kolkata. She had also done B.ED (1996) from Jadavpur University.She had done her second Masters in Values, Ethics and Indian Culture from Rabindranath Tagore Centre for Human Values in 2013, which is under Netaji Subhas Open University. At present she is working as Tagore Research Scholar in Rabindranath Tagore Centre for Human Values (RTCHV).
